Soleri Special Bell Assemblies are signed, one-of-a-kind pieces combining sculptural linkages and Windbells. Major elements (linkages) are carved in Styrofoam by Soleri. Each fragile carving is carefully packed by hand into molding sand by skilled assistants and molten metal is poured into the mold displacing the Styrofoam carving instantly as it burns it away. The process, known as "lost Styrofoam casting," allows only one casting to be made from an original carving resulting in a unique inimitable piece. Designed to enhance a surrounding environment, special assemblies are offered in burnished bronze and patina bronze finishes as well as in combinations of bronze and aluminum.
To preserve the continual incorporation of innovations by Soleri, none are made to order. All sculptural links are signed by Soleri and a letter of documentation certifying authenticity accompanies each piece.
